Temple of Nod by Edvuld

Whilst keen eyes in the modding community will have seen this back in 2005, we featured this mod on bit-tech this year in celebration of the 10th anniversary edition of Command and Conquer. There are about three different designs of the Temple of Nod across the various C&C games, and Edvuld's first job was to decide which one to go with.

All the pieces for the mod - which is stunningly layered - have been cut by hand, and there is a large amount of etching detail that has gone into the acrylic. The bulk of the mod is created in 5mm aluminium, which as been polished to within an inch of its life.

The stand-out effect on this mod is definitely the lighting - the way the LEDs have been positioned around and in the acrylic makes the final effect simply breathtaking.

The amount of curves in this mod make it a poster-child for careful heating and bending - a great mod technique for anyone to master.
